Innovation Syndicate LLC · Los Angeles

The contact data the music industry works from.

We build search software for artists and the teams behind them: who runs the playlist, who books the room, who programs the station, who places the song. Four products, one philosophy, built in Los Angeles since 2020.

Four search engines, one job each

Every tool answers one question with a person you can contact. You do the pitching, in your voice, to contacts you chose. Nothing is sent on your behalf.

The index

What sits behind the four products

Four independent indexes, each built and refreshed by us. Identity is one thing and reachability is another, so both are counted separately and contact details are shown where available, never promised for every result.

Where the industry has put us

We build quietly, but the work has been picked up: two competition placings, coverage in the trade press, and the conferences where music technology actually gets argued about.

In the press

What has been written about the work

Every piece below is independent coverage of one of the four products. Dates are the publication date.

Data Partnership

Music industry contacts, as an API

You send an identifier. We return the person who can say yes. Playlist curators, music supervisors, radio programmers and venue bookers, through one REST surface your team can call from anything.

01

The pattern

Four questions, one shape. Every call takes a single identifier and returns contactable people, with the evidence behind them.

You give usWe give youProduct
a playlist ID The curator's contact details where available, plus a health score saying whether the playlist is real or padded. PlaylistSupply
an artist name The music supervisors who placed artists with a comparable sound, and the shows they placed them in. SyncPlacement
an artist name Their actual radio airplay: spins, stations and markets, or a clean zero. RadioPromo
an artist plus tour dates The stations in every tour market with the programmer to call, and the venues and promoters who book artists at that level. RadioPromo · BookingAgent

One identifier in, the people behind it out, with the evidence attached.

Four surfaces, one API

The same auth, the same response envelope and the same conventions across all four. Your engineer learns it once.

Full documentation
Every endpoint is documented. Open a surface below.
Each of the four cards is a link to that surface’s complete technical brief: the full endpoint catalogue, the call chain, the integration facts and a sample response. Everything your engineering team needs to scope the integration before you sign anything.
PlaylistSupply
Spotify and YouTube playlist search, curator contact details, and a health score that says whether a playlist is genuinely active or padded.
  • 19 endpoints, each with what it returns and when to call it

What that looks like

The same four capabilities, as a conversation. Names and figures in the exchanges below are illustrative.

Call 1“Tell me about this playlist.”
You say
Here is a playlist ID: 37i9dQZF1DXcBWIGoYBM5M
We say
That playlist is called Indie Nights. It has 45,000 followers. It gets updated every week. The person who runs it is Sam, at sam@indienights.co. Quality score: 8 out of 10, this one is real and worth pitching.
Why it mattersYour team stops spending hours on dead playlists with bought followers, and gets the address of the one person who can add the record.
Call 2“Who puts music like this in TV shows?”
You say
My artist is Velra Kaine.
We say
Artists that sound like Velra Kaine got placed in Netflix and HBO shows. The music supervisors who picked them are Dana Okonkwo at dana@…, Miguel Reyes at miguel@…, and 12 more.
Why it mattersSync is the best-paying placement in music, and this hands your team the exact people who choose the songs, off a sound rather than a name.
Call 3“Is this artist on the radio?”
You say
Velra Kaine.
We say
Yes. Played 340 times in the last 30 days, on 22 stations, mostly in Texas and Arizona.

or

No. Zero radio play anywhere.
Why it mattersTwo uses. Verify that a campaign you are paying for is actually running, or check a roster target to see what is really happening behind the pitch deck.
Call 4“Which stations should we call on tour?”
You say
Velra Kaine. Tour dates: Austin March 3, Denver March 7, Portland March 11.
We say
Austin: KUTX and KVRX, call Priya at priya@kutx…. Denver: KTCL, call Bo. Portland: KNRK, call Tess.
Why it mattersRadio says yes to local. “We are playing your city Friday” is the easiest booking in promotion, and this returns the station and the person for every date on the routing.
04

What sits behind the playlist data

The playlist index is the largest and longest-running of the four, and it covers both Spotify and YouTube. Figures below were measured on 7 August 2026 and grow continuously.

~2M
Playlists indexed
Spotify and YouTube, across the full history of the index. Around 870,000 sit in the live, continuously refreshed working set.
~430K
Playlist curators identified
Identity, not reachability. A minority of any curator population is contactable, which is exactly why the vetting layer matters.
100,000+
Playlists with a contact route
An email address, a social profile or a submission channel we can attribute to the person who runs the list.

These three figures describe the playlist surface only. Radio, venue and sync are separate indexes of their own, summarised above. Current depth by market and genre is shared when we scope the engagement.

How we onboard a partner

Five steps, and the first two are the only ones that need a decision from you.

Step 01
Tell us which surfaces you need and the volume you expect, and we scope the engagement to it.
Step 02
Sign the partnership agreement and complete onboarding.
Step 03
Receive your API key and the full technical documentation.
Step 04
Build the integration, with a named contact on our side for questions.
Step 05
Go live. Your users get music industry contact data inside your own platform, under your own brand.
Team

Two founders, one company, since 2020

We started in playlisting: a search engine for playlist curator contacts that independent artists have used for over six years. Then artists kept asking the same question about the rest of their careers, so we built the same kind of search for each answer.

Tools, not middlemen

We build software, not a promotion service. Your outreach comes from you, in your voice, to contacts you chose. Nothing is sent on your behalf.

Data over hype

Every result carries quality signals so you can vet before you spend time or money. A big follower number is not the same thing as real listeners.

Honest about coverage

Contact details are shown where available, never promised for every result. We would rather under-promise than sell you a directory of dead ends.

Contact

We would rather show you the output than the deck.

Send a roster sample this week and we will come back with the results, so the next conversation happens over real output. No cost and no commitment for the trial.
